Eileen LaHaie Director, Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training (MCTFT)
The Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training (MCTFT) is a nationally responsive program and provides tuition-free counterdrug training to law enforcement across the nation and in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The classes cover all aspects of counterdrug law-enforcement training and can also provide support for community anti-drug coalitions. MCTFT offers instruction via traditional classroom training, online, CD-ROMS, videos, and satellite broadcasts. All training is available at no cost to the student.
The vast majority of the courses are geared towards training law enforcement personnel, especially those assigned to drug task forces or narcotics investigations. All instructors have been identified as subject matter experts in their fields with years of experience as law enforcement officers or criminal justice professionals. Some of our courses are geared towards drug demand reduction and are perfect for community coalitions, government leaders, educators, parents, or children.
Law enforcement agencies all around the country work together to make MCTFT courses the most comprehensive counterdrug training available today. This hands-on training utilizes real-life scenarios and available resources to illustrate the appropriate outcome. You won't be just sitting in class listening to someone lecture in the front of the room. MCTFT students learn by seeing and doing.
The Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training program is a federally funded partnership through the Department of Defense between the Florida National Guard and St. Petersburg College. MCTFT is located at the Southeastern Public Safety Institute on the Allstate Center Campus of St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Classes are either offered at the Allstate Center Campus or our instructors can bring the course to YOUR department in YOUR city or town.
