Introduction to Patrol Drug Investigations

This course is designed to provide an overview of patrol investigative techniques.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, the participant will:
- Possess knowledge of the history of drug use, distribution methodologies, and current trends of illicit distributors, counterdrug law enforcement and military support techniques.
- Be familiar with narcotics and dangerous drugs likely to be encountered by patrol officers in their law enforcement duties.
- Identify multijurisdictional technique standards currently being used in covert and overt narcotic investigations.
- Identify Supreme Court decisions related to investigations.
Target Audience: Active military, active law enforcement, and criminal justice professionals
