Drug Identification

Course #: MCD 0158

The goal of this program is to familiarize law enforcement officers with the history and current trends in designer drugs, and to highlight tools and techniques for investigating designer drug related crimes.

This course is designed to facilitate investigation of drug-related crimes. The course will focus on drug identification. Additional topics include legal and community awareness issues as well as the history of raves and identification of current drug trends.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Become familiar with rave/club history and current trends
  • Identify drug paraphernalia and trends
  • Identify indicators and warning signs
  • Become familiar with legal aspects

Target Audience: Active military, active law enforcement, and criminal justice professionals

Course Duration: 16 hours
