Tactical Drug Operations Advanced

Course Length: 4.5 days (36 hours)

This course is an advanced continuation of the Tactical I Course. The program's focus is the development of individual and team skills for those local, state and federal narcotics officers involved in undercover operations. Training will be conducted primarily in low-light conditions. Individual and team movement and firearms techniques will be emphasized under the stressful environment of simunition-based scenarios during the execution of search warrants and vehicle assaults. Students will receive training in undercover weapon concealment and use, agent rescue, and first responder/first aid for life-threatening injuries.

Completion of Tactical Drug Operations I is a mandatory prerequisite.

Course Objectives

  • Articulate the importance of operations orders, briefing skills, site surveys, proper equipment, control and communications, medical support and contingency plans for safe tactical operations.
  • Utilization of light sources in low-light conditions, including ballistic shield usage.
  • Demonstrate techniques for utilization of undercover weapons from a concealed position.
  • Demonstrate breaching with advanced mechanical breaching tools.
  • Plan and implement contingency plans as they relate to agent rescues.
  • Demonstrate individual and team tactics and movements.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques for vehicle assaults and extractions, involving multiple subjects and vehicles.
